Business Development Executive £23k to £27k – OTE £50k (uncapped)

Rapidly growing training company in the renewable energy industry requires a new Business Developer.

The position will involve proactively sourcing and contacting new target audiences and, presenting the training Academy’s in-house and public training capabilities.

By building relationships with existing clients, developing entirely new ones and attending internal and external events worldwide you will grow the training business.

You will be a proven relationship builder, account manager and new business developer motivated to make this role your own.

Job description

• Actively seek and develop a network of potential customers and key accounts
• Work directly with the marketing team to write dynamic and effective marketing materials, and hence generate new sales leads
• Plan and execute business development road trips to key clients
• Present the Academy’s training offering via telephone and face to face (client meetings, conferences, trade shows)
• Write sales proposals, tenders and contracts
• Report back key information and performance metrics
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the Company’s business development vision and strategy

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar business development role preferably selling high end events or products of a similar value
• Proven relationship builder, account manager and business developer
• Proactive seller (Hunter)
• Proven and successful experience of selling face to face (client meetings, conferences, trade shows) and via the telephone
• Experience of writing sales packages/proposals
• Excellent understanding of the sales process and consultative sales techniques
• Willing and able to travel to conferences, training courses and client meetings globally
• Ability to present to senior level business people
