Tesco: Site Research & Analysis Graduate Leadership Programme

We make strategic and innovative recommendations to help Tesco reach as many people as possible. Equipped with our advice and knowledge, the business can develop the best stores in the best possible locations, as well as delivering a leading online offer. We're a dynamic and responsive team, highly respected throughout the business. So working here gives you a great opportunity to drive real change.

Join our 12-month long programme and you'll gain exposure to many areas, including our stores. You'll be given a buddy to support you and answer your questions, and our team has a number of graduates who'll be on hand to advise you.

This programme gives you the opportunity to join one of two teams: Forecasting or Property Insight.

Forecasting

We advise on the best locations to open new stores, focusing on finding the places where there's a need for a better supermarket. Then we use demographic data to help make it the best shop it can be. We keep the customer at the heart of our decisions, trying to provide what they need today and what they might need in the future. And we innovate to stay ahead in a fast-changing digital world.

What will you be doing?

Even as a graduate you can expect to be involved in making strategic decisions; responding to changing customer needs, synthesising complex information and presenting your findings at a senior level.

Property Insight

Our Property Insight team influences company decisions through the robust, scientific analysis of a wealth of data. We provide insight into store performance, and create analytical and statistical models. This helps the business invest wisely to reflect evolving customer demand.

What will you be doing?

As well as undertaking placements in sales forecasting role and in store, you'll learn technical skills such as SQL. This will enable you to use our vast databases to the full, and explore the causes of store and customer behaviour. Throughout, you'll use your skills to influence real world business situations.
