A fantastic opportunity to work in a beautiful school in the heart of Peckham, Southwark has become available. The school are looking for a Year 4 teacher to continue the excellent work that has been put in place by the previous KS2 teacher before going on maternity leave.
The school are looking for the right candidate to start in January until the end of the academic year. As a one form entry primary school you will be required to work independently and must be capable of doing your own planning. However, there will be support across the staff at the school.
There is little staff turnover in the school as its well run and well managed so this is an excellent opportunity to work in a fantastic and supportive environment.
The ideal candidate must have a strong Key Stage 2 background and have at least 1 years UK teaching experience. The role is open to overseas trained teachers but would not be suitable for NQT's.
The class is lovely and student ability throughout the school is average to good - a teaching assistant is assigned to the class throughout the week.
The school has an excellent Headteacher who is supportive and highly regarded by her staff. Pupils come from a range of social backgrounds and are keen to learn and they all commit to the positive ethos of the school.
The Headteacher is keen to fill this post ASAP and will conduct interviews this week.
